Product Description
The first chapter of the Westminster Confession of Faith testifies that it is a work of the Spirit of God to persuade God's people of the truth and authority of the Word of God. At the 2021 Westminster Conference of the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary, the faculty addressed the Spirit's working through the Word in our hearts from the Old and New Testaments, as well as from historical figures in the church who taught about or illustrated this subject in their lives. We trust that listeners to these messages will grow in their dependence on the Spirit of God as they study the Scriptures, and discern further how this supernatural work is appropriately experienced in the Christian life.
The Westminster Standards and the Means of Grace contains 6 messages:
- A Lamp Unto My Feet: The Doctrine of Scripture in Psalm 119 by Dr. C. J. Williams
- Proclaiming the Word of the Triune God by Dr. Jeffrey A. Stivason
- The First Degree of Necessity: Turretin on the Spirit's Work in Preaching by Dr. Barry J. York
