Trinity Christ The Mediator

If you fail to recharge a laptop, it dies — disconnected from its source of life. God gave Adam and Eve life, with Himself as the Source. With the Fall, humanity was unplugged — today called alienation. Moreover, there was no place to plug in, to find new life. “The wages of sin is death.” Dead people can’t reach up to God. Had God reached out to man, absent a Mediator-Priest, He would destroy His own Being as holy. So God created a Mediator in Jesus. Jesus was true man, yet He was also God the Son. He lived the life we should live – in the Spirit. Then He bundled up all the sin of God’s people and all the death that goes with it. He took both to the Cross. The God-Man Christ Jesus plugs us back into the power outlet. We touch God by faith in Christ’s Sacrificial Death. Jesus Christ laid down His life, so He can bring us the life of God. Mediators bring peace between two parties, neither of whom can reach out to the other. We were dead laptops. Now, trusting Him, we are plugged into the only true source of life
